Romantic Valentine’s Day Dinner Menu
Starter: Creamy Garlic Butter Shrimp
Ingredients:
· 200g shrimp (peeled & deveined)
· 2 tbsp butter
· 3 cloves garlic (minced)
· ½ cup heavy cream
· ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
· 1 tsp lemon juice
· Salt & pepper to taste
· Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Heat butter in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
2. Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink.
3. Pour in heavy cream, Parmesan, and lemon juice. Stir and let simmer for 2 minutes.
4. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
Main Course: Steak with Red Wine & Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients:
· 2 ribeye or filet mignon steaks
· 1 tbsp olive oil
· 2 tbsp butter
· 1 cup mushrooms (sliced)
· ½ cup red wine
· ½ cup beef broth
· 2 cloves garlic (minced)
· Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Season steaks with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a pan and sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and let rest.
2. In the same pan, add butter, garlic, and mushrooms. Sauté for 3 minutes.
3. Pour in red wine and beef broth, simmer until reduced by half.
4. Drizzle sauce over the steaks and serve with mashed potatoes or asparagus.
Dessert: Chocolate Lava Cake with Strawberries
Ingredients:
· 100g dark chocolate (chopped)
· ½ cup butter
· 2 eggs
· ½ cup sugar
· ¼ cup flour
· ½ tsp vanilla extract
· Fresh strawberries for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Grease 2 ramekins.
2. Melt chocolate and butter together, stirring until smooth.
3. Whisk eggs, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl, then add melted chocolate mixture.
4. Gently fold in flour.
5. Pour batter into ramekins and bake for 10-12 minutes.
6. Let cool for 1-2 minutes, then gently remove from ramekins.
7. Serve with fresh strawberries and dust with powdered sugar.
